Searching to address notions and effects of new technologies, particularly digital data, artificial intelligence and questioning current physical interactions. My latest work explores social media and those pursuing an agenda of extending their powers of control beyond people, governments and countries.  Specifically, the developing digital world with their own interests at its core; how prepared are Earth’s democratic populations with these new data theorems?
Journalist J. Bartlett’s investigations of Silicon Valley’s creatives which construct new products & systems, in turn disrupting societies normalities where venture capitalist harness these potentials gaining greater control, power & money.  The company, Cambridge Analytical was ruined when their business practice become public; using data mining algorithms gaining users personal information which allowed individuals and groups to be targeted.
Percase a potentially key factor in America’s 2016 presidential election campaign?

Exploration of religions, fiction and theories: Māyā, a Hindu philosophy concept of a god making humans believe in what turns out to be an illusion: Stevenson’s, ‘Strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde’: Lacan’s Id and Ego; Leibniz’s Monadology; Gerard 't Hooft’s ‘The holographic principle’: Quantum Mechanics created over years by physicists. Trying to find meaning with this analogue and digital phenomenon which has multifaceted results with no concise answer.
Through video, photography, object and sound, my work looks at data’s materiality, it’s signs, traces and inevitable abstraction into mathematical code beyond our human comprehension. Traditionally, information equates to knowledge, however, all information with these new technologies is becoming disinformation, illusionary and disrupting reality as mankind knows it.

How will humans evolve in this new digital world?
